Privacy Policy

The short version

LadderIQ (https://www.ladderiq.co.uk and the iOS app) is built to need as little of your data as possible. Most calculators run entirely in your browser or on your device and never touch our servers. We don't sell your data, we don't run ad trackers, and we don't use cookies to profile you across the web.

What we collect, and why

Free calculators (web and app). Your mortgage numbers — balance, rate, term, deal end date, and so on — are processed client-side, in your browser or on your device. We never receive or store them unless you explicitly use a feature that sends them to us (below).

AI Agent / AI Coach. When you ask a question, your mortgage profile and message are sent to our server, which forwards them to Claude (Anthropic's AI model) to generate a response. We don't maintain a database of your questions or answers; the request is proxied through and discarded.

Pro Report. Your inputs are signed into an encrypted token that travels with you through Stripe Checkout as payment metadata, then used once to render your PDF. We don't keep a separate database of report inputs.

Payments. Web payments (Pro Report) are processed by Stripe; iOS subscription payments are processed by Apple. In both cases, we never see or store your card details — Stripe and Apple handle that directly.

Email (optional). If you submit your email for rate alerts or another opt-in feature, it's stored with our email provider, Loops, so we can send you what you asked for. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email we send, or by contacting us.

Usage logs. Our servers keep lightweight, structured logs of API activity (an anonymous account identifier tied to your subscription entitlement, timestamp, which endpoint was called, and rough token/cost counts) so we can monitor reliability, enforce fair-use limits, and debug issues. These logs are not linked to your name or used for advertising.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or rent your data to anyone, ever.
• We don't run third-party ad-tracking or cross-site profiling scripts on the website.
• We don't require an account or email to use the free calculators or AI Agent.
• We don't share your mortgage inputs with lenders, brokers, or any third party for marketing purposes.

Third parties we rely on

We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run the service: Anthropic (Claude, for AI-generated answers and reports), Stripe (web payment processing), Apple (iOS subscription billing), Loops (transactional and opt-in email), and Vercel (hosting and server logs). Each processes only the data needed to perform their function, under their own privacy and security terms.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you can ask us what data we hold about you, request a copy of it, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw consent for optional features like email alerts. Because most of what LadderIQ does happens client-side or is discarded after use, there's usually very little to retrieve — but for anything we do hold (like an email on our list), email [email protected] and we'll action it within 30 days.

Eligibility

LadderIQ is a financial planning tool intended for homeowners and prospective buyers aged 18 and over who are managing or considering a mortgage. Use of the service is limited to this audience.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top will change. For material changes, we may also note it in the app or on the site.
